How to write an article

You write the article from your clinical experience by answering interview questions; the AI structures your answers without adding any medical fact.

1. Topic and references

Open “Write Article”. Choose a topic from your specialty's list or type your own (we check it belongs to your specialty). Set the keyword, audience, region and language, and choose up to 3 related tools if you like.

Add at least 2 references: links to trusted sources that support what you will write, such as WHO, NICE, CDC, your health ministry or specialty society guidelines, or a published study from PubMed. Paste the full link starting with https:// and press “Check links”.

2. The questions and your answers

You receive 6 to 12 questions about the topic. The questions contain no medical facts — the facts come from you. Answer each in one to four sentences from your experience.

  • Generic answers such as “as per guidelines” or “consult a doctor” without explanation are not accepted. Write what you do and why.
  • You can skip any question; its section is left out of the article. You need at least 4 answers.
  • Your answers save automatically and you can continue later from “My Articles”.

3. Reviewing the article

Press “Assemble article”. In about a minute the article appears, written from your answers.

  • Shaded sentences marked “AI” are connecting or introductory sentences written by the AI. Make sure they add no medical claim.
  • Tap any sentence to see the question and answer it came from, and to edit it if you want.
  • You can edit the search title, description and link.

The AI marks are an aid only. You are responsible for every medical claim in the article, so read every sentence before attesting.

4. Attesting and submitting

Tick the five checklist items (no medical claim was added, the substance is your own, the references are appropriate, the article is safe for your specialty and patients, no dosages were added that you did not write), then press “Attest and submit”.

Any edit after attesting withdraws the attestation and returns the article to you to attest again.

5. After you submit

The editorial team checks editorial quality only (title, links, references, formatting) and does not change the medical content. Then:

  • The article is published under your name on Hakeemly with a statement that it was written from your answers and only structured by AI, and you are notified.
  • Or changes are requested with a note: you revise the article and attest again.
  • Articles are reviewed periodically: every 12 months for high-risk topics (treatment, medicines, children, pregnancy) and every 24 months for others.

When you joined you agreed to keep content confidential until publication, so please don't share drafts.
